Senior games registration ends April 15.

The Jackson County Recreation/Parks Department will begin registration for the Smoky Mountain Senior Games on March 16. The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 15. The games will take place April 20 through May 8. This program is open to anyone age 55 and over. The early bird registration will be March 16 through 31 and the cost is $15. To pick up a registration form you can go by the Jackson County Senior Center or the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. Senior Games is a quality recreational experience for senior citizens. Participants will enjoy the fun of the games, the fellowship, and the friendships that will come from the experience. Participants will compete within different age groups and can choose from a variety of events such as: horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball accuracy, football throw, baseball throw, billards, spin casting, croquet, bowling, tennis, track and field events, table tennis and golf.
