What is your favorite thing about the Cashiers area?
My favorite thing about Cashiers is enjoying all four wonderful seasons. Each season is equally beautiful in its own right. I also love the anticipation and joy that each new season brings. I love the slower pace and peacefulness of winter. I appreciate the beauty of spring wildflowers so much after a cold winter. Warm summer days, cool summer nights and time on the lake with friends is my favorite part of summer. Fall colors are the most breathtaking and I wish they could last longer for more people to enjoy.
Of what moment in your real estate career are you most proud?
One of my best moments in my career was one that I am proud of in hindsight. I had a particularly challenging listing with many ups and downs in a relatively short period. Looking back, I am so proud and thankful that my clients and I persevered throughout and ended up closing with a very satisfying outcome for both the seller and the buyer.
What is one of your favorite Cashiers-area memories or traditions?
One of my favorite Cashiers-area traditions are the fireworks on the fourth of July. As you know many different entities put on firework shows this time of year. Living here for many years I have had the privilege of seeing many of them from some unique locations. Whether it was watching a show over the croquet lawns of Chattooga club; hiking to the top of a mountain to look down upon the show; or enjoying them a boat on Lake Glenville, they are all amazing and a beautiful reminder of the how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of our great country.
What is something folks might not know about you?
My husband and I are pretty avid gardeners. We plant a yearly vegetable garden, plant native perennials in our yard, have about a dozen chickens and have recently added bee keeping to our yard. Beekeeping has been our most recent passion and I love to talk about it since we are learning new things daily.
